The KA-BAR 8041 santoku is a remarkable santoku knife. What makes this knife so special is the handle. It is very similar to that of the classic KA-BAR USMC knives, except the handle of the KA-BAR santoku knife is made of black micarta, as opposed to the stacked leather rings of the USMC. Micarta is more resistant to moisture and acids, so it stays in tip-top shape in the kitchen. The blades are handmade in Solingen, Germany, after which the knives are assembled in the Czech Republic.
